In 'Roar Power', we see the many moods of Falafel. Originally conceived as a six-panel strip with a more gradual transition, the final version stays true to the four-panel format of Life With Falafel, capturing Falafel's swift shift from sleepy housecat to ferocious feline and back again.

I’ve always thought the real Falafel’s yawns seemed rather lion-like, so Amy and I ensured the second panel was less comical and more roar-some to bring out his inner 'Big Cat'. The antics that follow his wide-eyed excitement at the prospect of a nearby birdie are the tale told in 'Fowl Play'.
