Falafel's quest for quiet is rudely interrupted in 'Clean Team Routine' as the hustle and bustle of the Hoomins’ household chores clash with his desire for dreamtime (despite him being a significant contributor to the mess, as seen in 'The Fur Seasons' and 'Big Cat').

I wanted to convey some positive moral undertones on Falafel’s path from disgruntled observer to eager participant, suggesting that everyone, no matter how small, can contribute on cleaning day (in contrast to the real Falafel, who usually prefers to hide at the top of the bedroom cupboard rather than face the vroom-vroom of the vacuum cleaner).
